KILI DAY 9
- Mweka Camp to Park Gate -
3,200 to @ 914 meters
Click on Image above for a larger mapToday we woke up in the mud of the Rainforest. Each member of the group commented that last night was the best sleep they had had for the last 10 days. The change in altitude, @ 2,800 meters makes it easier to get a good night sleep. After breakfast we completed our mountain trek, descending another 2,300 meters to the Park Gate, the entrance / exit from Mt. Kilimanjaro National Park.

THANK YOU!
To Everyone following the 2011 Student Research Xpediton, Return to Kilimanjaro. The Team would like to thank each of you for your questions and biome submission while we were on the mountain. Your contributions added greatly to this endeavor. We were unable to answer all questions while on the mountain but will get right back to work, adding more new pictures and hopefully answering many more questions in a weeks time. We will send an email out to everyone letting you know when Return to the Roof of Africa, Revisited is posted. Thanks Again for making this adventure a success, Mike O’Toole, Xpedition Leader
